Profession: Corporate Pilot

Pilot Certificates and Ratings: ATP

Flight Time: 17,000 hours

Number of Contests Flown: 10

Aviation Background: I fell in love with airplanes when I was about 10 years old. Started flying lessons at 15 and got my private at 17. Flew charters through college, then turned into a freight dog flying Beech 18s for more than 3,500 hours. Started my own charter company at 26 and slowly moved into the aircraft management business. Still managing, still flying, and still loving every minute of it.

Aircraft: I am flying the Telex Pitts. Manufactured by Aviat in 1998, this S-1-11B was destroyed in a crash late in 1999. I rebuilt the aircraft with the help of friends based on the requirements and limitations of the AWAC rules. Less than 260 hp and 1,100 pounds of pure adrenaline. You can find out more about this machine at www.sportaerobatics.com.

Hobbies: Four children, a beautiful wife, and two golden retrievers. (Hobby enough?)

Interesting Facts: Even though I seem to fall flat on my face each day, I keep reaching up to my Father in heaven. He pulls me to my feet, brushes me off, and tells me He loves me. No matter how many times I fall, He is always there to pick me up.
