Don Peterson - Midlothian, Texas Profession:
Industrial instrumentation Pilot
Certificates and Ratings: Commercial, SEL, Glider, CFI, CFII Flight Time:
5,000 hours Number of
Contests Flown: 50
plus Aviation
Background: I am
a retail aviation consumer. If I did it for a living, I'd have to get
a new hobby. I fly myself around North America on business, around the
neighborhood for sanity, and upside down for therapy. I have restored
a couple of antique biplanes, and earned my A&P plus IA to keep the
costs of maintaining the fleet under control. Aircraft:
I still have my first
airplane---a Mooney M20E purchased in 1979, a Zlin 50LA for aerobatic
competition, and a 1946 Stampe SV4C biplane for motoring around the neighborhood
on weekends. Hobbies:
Aircraft restoration,
music, and full-contact gardening. Interesting
Facts: Three-time
winner of Coupe d'Anjou aerobatic competition for Stampe biplanes. I live
in an airport control tower. |
