AWAC 2004
6th Advanced World Aerobatic Championship

LJUNGBYHED - SWEDEN

Bulletin No. 1
February 1, 2004
New Years Day 2004 - Ljungbyhed, SAAB 105 (SK 60) as a symbol of the
former military aviation school in Ljungbyhed.
On behalf of Swedish Aerobatic Federation and Airsport Federation of Sweden I am proud to invite aerobatic pilots, team members, officials and observers from throughout the World to the 6th Advanced World Aerobatic Championship. The competition will take place at the beginning of August 2004 in the beautiful city of Ljungbyhed.

Ljungbyhed is known as the cradle of Swedish aviation. The first flights were made already 1910 and the first aviation school was founded in 1915. The Swedish military aviation school started 1926 in Ljungbyhed. 72 years later in 1998 the military part was closed down.

The combination of beautiful surroundings on historical ground together with skilled competitors, promises to produce an enjoyable and successful competition.

Welcome to Ljungbyhed and AWAC 2004!
